It’s football time! Whether you’re a college gridiron junkie or prefer the pro game, we’re here to help you gear up for your pigskin pilgrimages this fall. You can even drop by Minneapolis for a special live podcast event Friday, Sept. 1 driven by Nokian Tyres.

In honor of the onset of America’s favorite fall pastime, here are three college football road trips you should take this fall.

Twin Billing in the Twin Cities

Minneapolis is the epicenter of college sports on Labor Day weekend. There are two top-notch tilts in the Twin Cities. On Thursday, Nebraska visits Minnesota in a Big Ten showdown that features new Huskers coach Matt Rhule and established Gophers boss P.J. Fleck. Then on Saturday, perennial FCS power North Dakota State hosts Eastern Washington at U.S. Bank Stadium, home of the Minnesota Vikings.

If you’re headed to the Land of 10,000 Lakes in early September, our all season Nokian Tyres One will do the trick. But once temps drop below 45 degrees in one of the harshest winter climates in America, you’re better off switching to dedicated winter tires, which provide the safest option in sustained frosty weather.

Say Goodbye to the PAC 12

The nation’s premier West Coast conference is waving farewell after the 2023 season following a shocking spate of conference realignment. That means it may be your last chance to witness a few classic rivalries out West. We recommend venturing to Oregon in early November to watch two conference favorites, USC and Oregon, square off at raucous Autzen Stadium in Eugene.

Weather in the Beaver State is notoriously unpredictable, though. That’s why we recommend journeying on a set of all weather tires, which are suitable for year-round use but certified with the three-peak mountain snowflake that indicates they’re a good fit for wintry weather.

The Champs Visit Neyland

Will Tennessee fans be extra grateful this Thanksgiving? That depends on what the Vols can do against two-time defending national champion Georgia when the Dawgs visit Knoxville on Nov. 18. Josh Heupel’s high-flying offense captivated the football world in 2022, but last year’s trip to Athens rendered the no-huddle attack futile against a defense stocked with future NFL talent.

Want to venture off the beaten path during your trip to East Tennessee? Go off-road on a rugged mountain trail on a set of all terrain Nokian Tyres Outpost tires, which come with Pothole Protection and are assembled down the street at our North American factory in Dayton, Tennessee.
