Nokian Customer Testimonials
"5 yrs ago I bought a set of Hakkapeliittas for my 04 RSX. Well it was the best money I ever spent. They have saved my behind on too many instances to remember. I have driven them on all roads, gravel, asphalt, ice (once on a lake) and snow covered to black ice conditions. By the way, after 4 3/4 winters there has to be at least 95-98% of the studs left. Not many have come out. I love my Nokian's and tell all my friends to stop wasting money on winter tires and start investing in Nokian's."
"After driving on 2 sets of WR's on my '02 Yukon 4WD for 5 years, my tire salesman talked me into trying the WRG2's. I was hesitant to switch as I had had such great service out of the WR's.
I decided to try them. I have now driven the WRG2s through every type of road condition; extremely wet roads, heavy slush, light snow, ice, snow covered ice and deep snow. I've got to tell you, in all cases the WRG2's performed as if they were on dry pavement! There was minimal to no slippage on acceleration, even hard acceleration, tracking through large puddles and slush is excellent, and stopping is incredible. I can hardly get the antilock brakes to engage even on ice!
I am glad I switched to the WRG2. They have proven themselves to be a better tire than the WR. My hat is off to you and your R&D department; you have hit the mark with this tire. Thank you."
"Hallmark tires recommended me a set of 4 WRG2 tire for my wife's Toyota Matrix. What a major improvement to driving in the ice and snow. Thanks Nokian! I am thoroughly satisfied. Good job for doing such a design. Now my daughter has a set on her Ford Focus also. I am planning to install a set for my son's Ford Escort in 2009 and the 2010 for my Land Rover. Then we will be a complete Nokian family."
"Hello. I just wanted to let you know I was very pleasantly surprised by the WRG2's during Portland OR's recent ice/snow storms.
There were any number of vehicles slipping and sliding on the icy roads. Oregon Department of Transportation mandated chains for most of the roads.
I did not know of the chain mandate and was out on those roads with my Subaru Forester and WRG2's. Happily, the Forester had no trouble on hills that a number of cars were skidding to the bottom of.
These are the first "all season" tires I have owned that actually live up to being "All Seasons". They have also improved the Forester's ride , lowered the noise levels, and have not caused any problems with handling."
"I bought some different snow tires after having Nokians and I have to say that the Nokians were a lot better in snow and on ice, offering a lot more stability and a LOT less slipping. I think I got spoiled driving on them for the past few years!"
"I bought a set of your Hakkapeliitta LT's for my 2 wheel drive Mazda B3000 pickup. I've always had trouble with traction in the winter, but with these tires I am amazed at how well they work. My truck sticks to the road and its handling is very predictable. I never felt safe when bringing passengers along with me in the winter but now I feel confident in bringing my expecting wife along with me. I will never buy another brand of snow tires. Actually I am going to try your summer tires as well...I’m sure they're going to perform just as well. Thank you Nokian for making a wonderful product. I love driving in the snow now!!!"
"On November3, 2008 I purchased a set of four Nokian tires from Kal Tire in Albert Edmonton . On November 5, 2008 I drove to Manitoba from Edmonton. At Brandon Manitoba I ran into a winter storm which left the roads a sheet of ice. I want you to know I have never owned such a good set of tires. They had a feel of security in the way they gripped the road. I never once slid or swerved even though there were cars and semi-trailers in the ditch all around me. Thank you so much for these great tires! I will highly recommend them to my friends."
"I love my Nokian Tyres. I bought my first set of Nokian "all weather" 3 years ago and just bought my second set (WRG2). I drive a Toyota Sienna 2 wheel drive minivan. Last year we had an unexpected Snow/ice storm in the Willamette Valley in Oregon. As I am going up the hill without any slippage, others are sliding down the hill beside me. Even those in big 4 wheel drive vehicles and big tires. Here I am in my little old van just holding steady.
I drive about 35 miles every day to work down the I-5 freeway and it can be treacherous in the rain (and we get lots!), but I never hydroplane. As another bonus, I don't have to worry anymore about the long lines to get snow tires put on when the first winter storm hits. My tires are all year around!
Thank you for giving me such a peace of mind when I drive to and from work. "
