Nokian Tyres Serves as Official Tire of Beaver Creek Ski World Cup Event

The Xfinity Birds of Prey Audi FIS Ski World Cup event takes place December 6-8

BEAVER CREEK, Col. – Nokian Tyres, the inventor of the winter and all-weather tires, is the official tire of the Xfinity Birds of Prey Audi FIS Ski World Cup event December 6-8 in Beaver Creek, Colorado.

It’s the first year the Scandinavian tire company has sponsored the event. The partnership is another step in Nokian Tyres’ quest to expand its presence in North America, where it recently completed construction of a state-of-the-art tire factory.

The weekend boasts an international roster of top athletes competing in Men’s Alpine Super G, Downhill and Giant Slalom competitions Dec. 6-8. It’s an ideal environment for the premium tire manufacturer to raise awareness of its safe, sustainable products, which are crafted to provide peace of mind in all driving conditions – even snowy roads skiers face on the way to the slopes.

“We believe that people who enjoy elite World Cup ski events also appreciate their own beautiful journeys to the slopes,” said Nokian Tyres Director of Marketing Hans Dyhrman. “We’re excited to tell them how our premium tires can enhance their journeys this season and beyond.”

Nokian Tyres is interacting with more skiers and snowboarders than ever before through a wide array of marketing efforts. It partners with ski resorts in the Rocky Mountains and beyond to teach guests about tire safety, host product launch events and provide unique giveaways that add immense value to guests’ mountain adventures.

Nokian Tyres is educating drivers about its premium products in a variety of other ways, as well. The company recently launched a campaign to inform consumers of its all-weather tires, which are suitable for year-round driving in areas that receive wintry weather, unlike all-season tires. Consumers can learn more about its entire line of winter and all-weather products at NokianTires.com/Snow-Tires.

Nokian Tyres is nearing the start of commercial tire production at its new North American factory, which will annually produce millions of tires that are tailored the needs of drivers throughout the continent.
