Vianor tire chain reaches new milestone: 800th sales outlet starts journey in Italy

The Vianor tire chain, owned by Nokian Tyres, continues growing at a steady pace: it is now operating in more than 20 countries. The opening of the chain's 800th outlet was celebrated last week in Montebelluna, Italy, Vianor’s first outlet in Italy.

Vianor gained a foothold in the Italian market thanks to a master franchise agreement with Centro Gomme spa. From here, the sales network will be actively expanded, particularly in regions that have winter conditions and winter tire recommendations.

The Italian winter tire market has grown rapidly, making distribution channels in Italy a natural step forward for Vianor. The mountainous regions of northern Italy feature snowy conditions and call for winter tires that function reliably even in extreme weather. Vianor’s presence in Italy efficiently enables the company to offer Nokian winter tires in these regions. Next, we will develop our sales outlet network to cover all of northern Italy, says Olli Nuutila, Business Manager from Nokian Tyres.

The town of Montebelluna, situated 50 kilometres northwest from Venice, represents demanding weather conditions typical of northern Italy. The first partner-led outlet is located alongside a busy bypass road and its recently renovated indoor and workshop premises serve as a showcase for new Vianor outlet partners in the region. The flagship outlet in Montebelluna has several mounting stations and also offers car servicing and tire hotel services with nearly 800 sets of tires already on the premises.

Nokian Tyres is the only tire manufacturer in the world to focus on products and services that promote safe driving in northern conditions. The company focuses on four main market regions: the Nordic countries, Russia and the CIS states, North America, and Central and Eastern Europe.

The Vianor chain strives to establish a strong foothold in Nokian Tyres’ strategic key market areas and expand its international franchising and partner network in an organized manner. Its goal is to spearhead Nokian Tyres’ growth and be the leading tire chain in its operating regions. The Vianor chain is most extensively represented in the Nordic countries, Russia, and Ukraine, with the majority of Vianor outlets operated under the franchising or partner principle, though some are owned by Nokian Tyres.

Vianor offers passenger car, van and truck tires as well as heavy tires. In addition to Nokian-branded tires, the chain represents other leading tire brands and vehicle products and accessories such as rims, batteries and shock absorbers. Vianor also offers tire changing and mounting services as well as oil change, express servicing and tire hotel services depending upon the outlet.
