Can I use winter tires in summer?

Using studded or non-studded winter tires during the summer season is not recommended. Tires that are dedicated for winter use are not optimized for summer conditions. Their handling properties and wet performance are not on the same level as those of summer tires in hot summer conditions, making them less safe and comfortable. High temperatures also increase heat generation on the tire tread when driving, which can cause faster wear and uneven wear pattern or result in microcracks on the tread.
