Nokian Tyres Educates Dealers and Drivers During ‘All-Weather Tire Week’

The Scandinavian tiremaker is celebrating the birthday of the all-weather tire by teaching the public about the importance of a true four-season driving solution

DAYTON, Tenn. – Nokian Tyres is observing “All-Weather Tire Week” Oct. 2-6 to remind drivers of the importance of year-round tires certified with the three-peak mountain snowflake.

The Scandinavian tiremaker introduced the first all-weather passenger tire in North America 24 years ago. During All-Weather Tire Week, it will commemorate the tire’s birthday and educate its audiences about the differences between all-weather and all-season tires. The product segment is designed for consumers who experience unpredictable winter weather but cannot justify purchasing dedicated winter tires. All-weather tires are an upgrade from all-season tires for consumers who visit winter or see winter visit them.

“Only three in 10 Americans can correctly name the benefits of all-weather tires over their all-season counterparts,” said Nokian Tyres North America Director of Marketing Hans Dyhrman. “All-Weather Tire Week is an opportunity to highlight the important benefits of true four-season tires.”

Dealers and drivers will benefit from a variety of materials created by Nokian Tyres and its partners, including:

  • Social media posts and infographics that highlight all-weather tires’ importance via Facebook, Instagram and Twitter
  • A bonus episode of the Nokian Tyres Journey Podcast that offers expert insight about the product segment
  • Testimonial videos from dealers and drivers who love all-weather tires
  • Press outreach about all-weather tires in markets that experience unpredictable winter weather

The company launched the all-weather Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta NRW in North America in 1999. It has led the industry with five generations of all-weather products, including its current offering, the Nokian Tyres WR G4 and WR G4 SUV. The tiremaker’s all-terrain product line, the Outpost Family, also comes with the three-peak mountain snowflake.

Nokian Tyres’ all-weather tires come from its North American factory in Dayton, Tennessee, where the company is currently doubling production to as many as four million tires per year in 2024.
