Nokian Tyres Offers Tips for Keeping Cars Fresh While Idle

The Fresh Start campaign presents advice from the Humble Mechanic and an array of other resources

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – During a time when cars are hitting the roads less frequently than usual, Nokian Tyres is teaming up with a prominent mechanic to help drivers keep their vehicles ready for use. The company’s Fresh Start campaign offers automotive and tire maintenance tips to help drivers ensure their vehicles are in proper shape when they return to their adventures and daily routines.

The premium tire manufacturer consulted Charles Sanville, also known as the Humble Mechanic, whose YouTube tips have helped millions keep their cars up to speed. The company also contributed its own tire expertise. The full array of tips and resources can be found at NokianTires.com/FreshStart.

Maintenance tips include making sure the battery carries a healthy charge, inspecting tires for flat spots and other issues, topping off important fluids, and driving the car on a regular basis.

“Cars are meant to be driven regularly, and any significant drop in usage carries risk,” said Nokian Tyres Director of Products Steve Bourassa. “As a tire manufacturer committed to safety, we feel it’s important to help drivers keep their cars and tires healthy during this period of reduced activity.”

The Fresh Start website also features detailed tire maintenance advice, tips for choosing the right tires, a dealer locator and entertaining video content.

Founded and headquartered in Finland, Nokian Tyres invented the winter and all-weather tires and continues to craft premium products in all major passenger segments, including the all-season tire market. The company recently opened its North American factory in Dayton, Tennessee, where it aims to fill expanding North American demand and seize on opportunities in the all-season and all-weather segments. Nokian Tyres’ regional headquarters office in Nashville and its sales team throughout the continent is helping to organize that growth process.

The company is preparing to introduce new products for North American drivers in the coming months and years.
