Best winter tires

The superior grip on ice and snow makes you feel and think that safety was the main focus of these tires. We love winter sports and these HAKKAPELIITTA 10 SUVs get us to the most remote ski resorts here in Idaho and Montana. Thank you Nokian Tyres.

I have been a winter tire guy for years travelling across Canada from Thunder Bay to Alberta north and south. I have driven many types of vehicles and several brands of winter tires. These have and are performing better than any ice radial or studded tires of the past in all categories. Looking forward my partner says now when I drive it’s like I am playing with a new toy.

Best Winter Tires Out There!!!

I live in the foothills of Colorado (Evergreen) and work everywhere from Denver to Aspen. Purchased a set of studded Hakkapeliitta 9's for my Tacoma 2 years ago and a set of studded Hakkapeliitta 10's for our FJ Cruiser this year. Have previously ran other brand snow tires, but all it took was one Winter with these feeling like glue to the road to never look back. From solid ice to under carriage deep snow these tires rock! They are worth every penny they cost providing great traction and a safe driving experience no matter what the weather is. I just wish that the other drivers in Colorado would have them on their cars, it would make driving I-70 a better experience for us all. Thank you Nokian Tyres, keep making these quality tires! These tires are AMAZING!!!

I’ve always run all season tires on my SUV’s. Last year we moved to a much higher elevation and harsher winter weather. I got the Nokian Tyres Hakkapeliitta 10 studded snow tire and I can’t even begin to describe how unbelievable they are. All my fear and anxiety of driving in bad weather is gone. They handle so well!!!! I would buy these again and again and again.

Best... but these Hakkas are noisy

This is my 3rd set of Nokian Hakkas. Clearly the best for winter driving. I have studded LT3 on my truck and just placed the studded Hakka 10 SUV on a Mercedes Benz GLK. I am impressed at the traction, however also surprised at just how noisy these are compared to the LT3 studded. If I had known it may have changed my choice to something else. We do alot of mountain driving in which these perform awesome, the conditions we encouter vary and change drastically in every drive. There are also long flat, often dry highway sections and the loud drone can't be compensated with the radio. I am familiar with the sound and noise generated by studs, we have logged over 100k kms on hakka studs but these are the loudest of any i have purchased.

Aramid Sidewall technology offers durability and protection for demanding driving conditions. The strong, synthetic Aramid fiber used in the tire compound reinforces the sidewall. The fiber makes the tire more resistant to impacts and cuts that could otherwise easily break it. Winter Safety Indicator (WSI)

The patented Winter Safety Indicator (WSI) in the tread further improves safety. It displays the remaining tread in millimeters together with a snowflake symbol. The snowflake remains visible until four millimeters of tread remain. Once the snowflake has worn out, purchasing new winter tires is recommended to help ensure driving stays safe.
